How does an invoice get counted?
Anything Tally creates, sends, or posts a payment back for. Reminders, internal drafts, and matched payments on existing invoices don't count. Most Starter customers send 50–200 a month.
Are there per-payment fees?
None. Flat monthly. We don't skim a percentage of payments and we don't take a cut of recovered cash, ever.
How does the escalation cascade actually work?
Day 1–60: AI-drafted reminders from your domain, in your voice. Day 60–75: AI-drafted pre-litigation notice (still your domain, firmer tone). Day 75–90: certified-mail demand letter on Tally letterhead: AI-drafted, jurisdiction-aware, mailed USPS certified (signature required). Most balances clear at this stage. Day 90+: if it still hasn't moved, partner counsel sends an attorney demand letter in the debtor's state ($300 passthrough, no markup). You approve every step.
What's the recovery team?
Our in-house AR specialists. They take over cases where reminders and the demand letter haven't moved it. Calls, payment plans, settlements. Flat per-case fee above the quarterly cap. Never a percentage of recovery.
What does the first month money-back cover?
If Tally doesn't save you time and recover cash in the first 30 days, email support@tally.io. We refund the month, no exit interview required.
What if my accounting tool isn't on the list?
If we can read it, we can run on it. Bring it up on the demo and we'll tell you yes, no, or how long.
Multi-currency? International?
USD, GBP, EUR, CAD, AUD on Scale. Multi-currency invoices and FX conversion supported. VAT/GST for major jurisdictions. Bring your situation to the demo.
How is our data stored and who has access?
Tenant-isolated, AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, hosted in AWS us-east-1 (multi-AZ). RBAC by seat with optional SSO (Google, Okta, Azure AD). Only your seats and a small on-call rotation can access. Every access is logged and exportable. No data is used to train shared models.
How long do you retain audit logs and what happens on cancellation?
Audit logs are retained for 7 years (export to CSV or stream to your SIEM via webhook on Scale+). On cancellation, you keep a 30-day export window for all invoices, communications, and audit logs. After 30 days, your data is hard-deleted from primary and backups within 35 days. We send a confirmation when the deletion is complete.
What's your uptime commitment?
Scale: 99.9% uptime, status page at status.tally.io, 4-hour P0 response. Enterprise: custom SLA with credits. Starter is best-effort with the same status page. We don't have a customer-impacting incident history yet. When we do, you'll see it published.
